Personal Branding Photography for Moore Life & Travel in New Orleans

A personal branding session should give you more than one updated headshot. It should create a practical collection of images that shows who you are, what your business does, and what clients can expect when they work with you.

That was the goal for Regina Moore’s recent personal branding session for Moore Life & Travel, also known as MLT. Regina specializes in cruise vacations and needed a mix of professional portraits, client consultation images, branded lifestyle photos, and content she could use across her website and social media.

Regina Moore of Moore Life Travels during a New Orleans personal branding photography session

Creating a Professional Look at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans

We started Regina’s one-hour session at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans.

The hotel gave us several clean, professional settings without making the images look like traditional office photos. We began near a large open window, using the natural light to create polished portraits with soft, even skin tones.

We also used the hotel’s lounge furniture to photograph Regina in a client consultation setting. These lifestyle images showed her reviewing travel information, having a conversation, and helping a client plan a trip.

For a service-based business, this type of photography is especially useful. A standard headshot introduces the person behind the company, while consultation images help potential clients understand what it may feel like to work with them.

Regina’s business is built around helping travelers plan cruise vacations, so the session needed to show both professionalism and approachability.

Headshots, Environmental Portraits, and Client Consultation Images

During the first part of the session, Regina wore business attire for a more polished look.

We photographed a combination of:

  • Professional headshots

  • Seated business portraits

  • Client consultation images

  • Environmental portraits showing more of the hotel

  • Horizontal and vertical compositions for different marketing uses

The headshots can be used for professional profiles, business listings, website introductions, speaker information, and social media accounts.

The wider environmental portraits give Regina more options for website banners, blog posts, promotional graphics, and marketing materials that need space for text.

Throughout the session, I provided clear direction for posture, hand placement, posing, and expression. Personal branding clients do not need to arrive knowing what to do in front of the camera. I guide the session so the images look polished but still feel natural.

A Relaxed Look for Moore Life Travels

After completing the business portraits, Regina changed into jeans and a branded Moore Life & Travel T-shirt.

The second outfit gave us a more relaxed look while keeping her business visible in the photos. Branded clothing can work well during a personal branding session because it creates ready-to-use content for announcements, promotions, travel tips, cruise information, and behind-the-scenes social media posts.

The jeans and T-shirt also showed another side of Regina’s personality.

Clients want to know that their travel advisor is organized, informed, and professional. They also want to work with someone who feels approachable and easy to communicate with. Photographing both looks helped us show that balance.

An outfit change does not need to take a large part of the session. With a clear plan and clothing that is easy to change, we were able to create two noticeably different sets of images within the one-hour session.

Downtown New Orleans Personal Branding Photos

For the second location, we moved into downtown New Orleans near the river end of Canal Street.

This area gave us a mix of recognizable city surroundings, downtown architecture, street views, and local landmarks. We photographed walking images, relaxed portraits, and lifestyle photos that connected Regina and Moore Life Travels to New Orleans.

Using a real location can make branding images feel more natural than photographing everything against one background.

The downtown setting also worked well for Regina’s travel business. The movement, buildings, transportation, and riverfront atmosphere gave the images more energy while supporting the overall travel theme.

Local backgrounds can be especially helpful for New Orleans business owners who want their photos to show where they work and who they serve. Locations around the CBD, Canal Street, French Quarter, Garden District, City Park, Gretna, Metairie, and the Westbank can each create a different look depending on the business.

Building a Useful Branding Gallery in One Hour

Regina’s session included two locations and one outfit change, but the shoot stayed organized because we had a clear purpose for each part.

The hotel location gave us the professional business and consultation images. The downtown location gave us more relaxed portraits and lifestyle content. Each outfit and background had a specific role in the final gallery.

Before a personal branding session, it helps to think about where the images will be used.

A business owner may need:

  • A clean headshot for LinkedIn

  • A horizontal image for a website header

  • Vertical photographs for Instagram Stories or Reels covers

  • Lifestyle images for regular social media posts

  • Working images that explain the service

  • Branded portraits for promotions and announcements

Planning for those uses creates a more complete final gallery. Instead of receiving several similar portraits, the client gets a collection of images that can support different parts of the business.

My New Orleans personal branding photography service is designed around this type of practical planning. We discuss the business, locations, outfits, image uses, and overall message before the session so the final photographs have a clear purpose.

More Cruise-Focused Content Coming Soon

This session gave Regina a strong starting collection of professional and lifestyle images, but we are not finished.

We already have another Moore Life Travels session planned near the cruise ships and in the French Quarter.

The cruise ship location will connect the photographs more directly to Regina’s specialty. The French Quarter will give us another recognizable New Orleans setting with a different look from the hotel and downtown Canal Street images.

Splitting the branding process into multiple sessions can be useful for businesses that need regular content. It allows us to work with different outfits, backgrounds, seasons, services, and marketing campaigns without trying to fit every idea into one shoot.

For Moore Life Travels, the next session will continue building a visual library around cruise planning, travel, and Regina’s connection to New Orleans.
