I’m Chad Populis, a New Orleans boudoir photographer. My approach is private, respectful, and guided from beginning to end. You do not need modeling experience, a specific body type, or a dramatic reason to book. The session is built around your comfort level, your style, and the kind of images you want to create.

Boudoir photography has not always represented the full range of skin tones, body types, hairstyles, and personal styles found within Black communities. A thoughtful photographer should understand that good bo

udoir work is not about applying one standard look to every client.

Lighting, posing, editing, wardrobe, and makeup all affect the final result. My goal is to create clean, polished images while maintaining natural skin tones and avoiding retouching that changes the features that make you recognizable.

Boudoir Does Not Require Nudity

You decide how much or how little you want to show.

A boudoir session can include lingerie, robes, fitted dresses, bodysuits, button-down shirts, jackets, denim, formalwear, or simple clothing from your own closet. Some clients prefer a softer and more covered look, while others want something bold or dramatic.

There is no single way a boudoir session has to look.

Before the shoot, we will discuss your comfort level, clothing ideas, posing preferences, and any boundaries you want me to know about. You can also change your mind or request an adjustment at any point during the session.

Guided Posing for Different Bodies and Comfort Levels

Most clients do not arrive knowing how to pose, and you are not expected to.

I provide clear direction throughout the shoot, including how to position your hands, angle your body, shift your weight, and use your expression. I may also adjust your clothing, background, or lighting to create a cleaner photograph.

The posing is paced gradually. We can begin with simple standing or seated portraits before moving into closer, more expressive images.

The goal is not to force you into poses that feel unnatural. It is to help you look confident while still looking like yourself.

Your final images are delivered through a private online gallery with easy digital access. Your photographs are not posted on my website, social media, or marketing materials without your permission.
