Evangeline & Mike | NOLA Skyline Event Center Wedding with Lake + City Views

Evangeline and Mike’s wedding at NOLA Skyline Event Center was designed to evolve throughout the evening—clean and elegant early on, then energetic and celebratory by night.

Both the bride and groom prepared on-site in the venue’s modern bridal suite, which connects directly to a makeup area. The space is thoughtfully designed for photography, with neutral tones, controlled lighting, and enough room to move comfortably without clutter.

Their early evening ceremony took place in the Lake View Room, where floor-to-ceiling tinted windows softened the light and created an airy, romantic atmosphere as the sun dropped lower. The transition from daylight to dusk happened naturally, allowing portraits to stay consistent without rushing the timeline.

Later, guests moved into the City View Room for the reception. The shift in scenery added visual contrast to the gallery—sleek interiors, city lights, and a more intimate nighttime feel. Dancing carried the night forward, ending with a high-energy exit led by the Zulu Tramps and One Shot Brass Band, photographed documentary-style to preserve movement and emotion without interrupting the moment.

This wedding is a great example of how thoughtful venue layout and timing can create variety while keeping the day seamless.
